Gamebreakers Summer Camps 2010
August 2010 Theme Camps:
August 2-6:
Theme - Defensive skill camp: Focus on puck protection, angling skills, as well as the promotion of skating skills.
August 9-13:
Theme - Offensive skill camp: Focus on shooting and puck handling. This camp will utilize the Endless Ice Treadmill as part of the offensive skills. i.e. puck handling and shooting on the treadmill. Guest instructors TBA during that week.
August 16-20 and 23-27:
Theme - Checking Confidence: Focus on how to make and how to take physical contact for contact hockey. Great camp for players who are playing contact hockey for the 1st time.
Theme - Tryout Preparation: Focus on conditioning for the upcoming hockey season. All aspects of the session will involve the dry land work out area, as well as the Endless Ice Treadmill, and Ice Pro Arena.
Age groups: Novice, Atom, Peewee & Bantam (Males and Females)
During our comprehensive, skills’ based hockey camp, each player will receive a program focused on the development of strong skating, puck skills and having fun. The teaching and development they will receive allows for a positive and enjoyable experience. Our coaches and instructors want your child to become better players and enjoy the sport of hockey.
Groups limited to a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12 players
Skill development Sessions designed so all participants experience and train utilizing all of Gamebreaker Hockey’s State of the Art Equipment each day by rotating groups throughout the facility with Gamebreakers Instructors
Schedule sample:
8:00am: Arrival
8:30-9:30am: IcePro Arena
9:30-10:30am: Shooting Lanes, Rapidshot & Treadmill
10:30-11:30am: Dryland Workout
11:30-12:30pm: Lunch
12:30-1:30pm: Classroom
1:30pm-2:30pm: IcePro Arena
2:30-3:30pm: Shooting Lanes, Rapidshot & Treadmill
3:30-4:15pm: Departure
‘Summer Camps’ at Gamebreakers provide the following hours to each group:
10 hours of Ice Time Instruction and Fun with a focus on small area games / passing / puckhandling and skating techniques
5 hours on the largest, most advanced Skating Treadmill in the world; training (in skates) focuses on Stride Technique, Tempo / Muscle Memory and Stamina
5 hours of Shooting Lane / Rapidshot Time (in skates) where the focus will be on Technique / Accuracy / Power/ Quick Release / Dekes
5 hours of Dryland / Off-ice training (focusing on CORE strength and balance, Plyometrics, Agility and Quickness)
5 hours of Classroom sessions (features day-to-day expectations, chalk talk, instructional videos, etc)
Cost: $349+HST per player - includes a Dartfish video stride analysis on DVD and a Gamebreakers T-Shirt (*$299+HST “Early Bird Special” if booked prior to June 1st, 2010) – 10% discount applicable for a family with more than one child entered

Learn to Skate / Hockey Prep Program
10 week program @ $99 +HST per child
Program Description: For
the younger kids to learn age appropriate skating lessons and hockey basics and
they will play games and have fun at the same time. Children will be entered by
skill level.
1 x 30 minute session every Saturday; 9:00am Level One,
9:30am Level Two (*schedule finalized upon registration)

Adult / Recreational Player Training Camp
12 week program @ $179 +HST per player
Program Description: Just
learning to play or want to improve your skills? Our 12 week program features
the use of all of our state of the art equipment in a comprehensive program that
will improve your stride (power, speed & efficiency), increase your shot
velocity and reaction times, improve your shooting and passing accuracy, etc...
Fundamental skill development is what this program is all about.
1 hour
per week; Monday evening from 9-10pm
